"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" presents classic example how to immortalize a game title by constant DLC expansions, tweaks and updates. After a Legendary edition that packs all developments into one nifty package, now comes enhanced features to catch up with Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Bethesda calls this new "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" twist "Skyrim: Special Edition." Now it is a good point to ponder what is the developer's description of "special." Will this special new rendition make gamers feel especially treated to warrant special time?
'Nuff for too many specialties, Games Radar reported that there are significant changes in "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" that are easily discernable once videos are compared side-by-side. Remember that the original Skyrim invaded PlayStation 3 five years ago so there are lots of developments in recent years that the current PlayStation 4 presents. Bethesda is no noob I game development so expect the description "polished" to hold true to its very root. In fact, it came to a point that it is safe to vouch for graphics quality of Special Edition.
Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" or "Skyrim: Special Edition" if you please term it, has major difference in PS4 and Xbox One. Personal or user mods are more flexible in Xbox compared to that of PlayStation. Bethesda confirmed that user mods allocated in PS4 are limited to 1GB only, Trusted Reviews said. This is a fraction of 5GB allowable in Xbox One consoles.
The fact is, most "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" mods in the past doesn't really occupy 1GB. However, with game content becoming more and more demanding over the years, PS4's 1GB limitation is pretty hindering. At any rate, this tiny space is still a welcome change considering that Bethesda earlier announced that mod support is not available for PlayStation. Good that Sony and Bethesda were able to patch up any differences they encountered and they pushed with that mendicant-level 1GB.
