Microsoft is just days away from its Windows 10 event, scheduled to be held in October itself. The event will reportedly take place a day before Apple's event where the MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be unveiled. There are rumors that Washington-based company will also unveil the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 device in the said event.
Microsoft released the Surface Pro 4 in 2015 around the same date. Moreover, as the company always does, it has reduced the price of the Surface Pro 4, which is a strong indication that a new device is about to be revealed. Thus, it will be a war between the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
Apple may also release the MacBook Pro variants and also MacBook Air, which are expected to rival the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. This has already been hinted by noted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. However, none of the companies have declared anything officially and have kept the specs and features of the said devices under wraps.
The Microsoft even that is reportedly being held in New York on Oct. 26 will also reveal the long-awaited Microsoft AIO Surface PC. Last year, the company released tons of hardware and software for the Windows market. This year, Microsoft will focus more on software (Windows 10) and also certain third-party software such to complement the new operating system, which is expected to be unveiled along with the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
In terms of hardware, the Microsoft AIO Surface PC will come in three different sizes, 21-inch, 24-inch and 27-inch. The 21-inch Surface PC is expected to come with 4K compatibility and full HD Display. If rumors are to be believed, the Surface PC, just like the Surface Book, will be released with some form of modularity. The keyboard may be detachable for improved productivity. It remains to be seen if Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be sporting these new specs and features.
Apart from these devices, Surface-branded accessories are also in line. Microsoft will likely release Bluetooth-enabled keyboards and mouse at the event. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more news and updates about the Microsoft Surface Pro 5!
