Nintendo surprised many fans with the preview trailer for its upcoming console named Switch. Latest reports hinted of the Wii U games that may get a Switch version, as well as other new gaming title developments for the said device.
Nintendo Switch, previously codenamed Nintendo NX, took the internet by storm with its preview trailer that unveiled some of the console's features and unique design. The said clip also teased some of the gaming titles that will be available for the upcoming platform such as "Splatoon," "Mario Kart 8" and the upcoming "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game.
Previous reports have even hinted of Wii U games that may potentially be ported to the Nintendo Switch such as the popular "Super Mario Maker." The game's potential Switch port will provide players with an interesting gameplay experience given its focus on building levels with other gamers and the upcoming console's portability, according to IGN.
Apart from "Super Mario Maker," the Wii U game "Super Smash Bros." has also been rumored to get a Nintendo Switch version. However, it is still unclear if developers will simply port the said game to the new console or create a new gaming title or sequel for Switch.
Other games speculated to get a Switch version include Platinum Games' "Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101," as indicated in the same report. Meanwhile, a "Pikmin" game may also likely make it to Nintendo's new console specifically "Pikmin 3" for the Wii U.
In other news, Ubisoft's Yves Guillemot recently expressed his excitement over Nintendo's upcoming new gaming console. In a statement issued to Gamespot, the CEO made mention of the Switch's hybrid features and unique design. Nintendo may even "redefine" a player's gaming behavior, according to Guillemot.
The Ubisoft executive also teased of the company's upcoming gaming titles for the Nintendo Switch that includes "Just Dance 2017." Guillemot added, "We are currently developing a number of games for the platform ... We look forward to sharing more at a later date."
