"Fallout 4" has enjoyed a pretty successful run so far. Bethesda has seemed to hit its stride with its major AAA titles, and the latest Fallout installment is no exception. However, in this current day and age in video games, downloadable content is an inevitable part of games and that is not always a bad thing. The latest Fallout has enjoyed a number of DLC packs throughout its run to lengthen its lifespan, but could gamers be expecting a new DLC on the horizon?
According to iDigital Times, a recent listing on Steam has made the gaming community's imagination run wild with possibilities of another grand "Fallout 4" DLC pack after the acclaimed and most recent add-on content: Nuka World. However, fans might get disappointed to learn that this Steam update is probably not as big as fans think it is.
According to Gamespresso, the possibility of a new DLC pack for "Fallout 4" due to this development is very unlikely. Pete Hines, Bethesda's VP of Public Relations and marketing, has gone on record stating on his official Twitter account that there will be no more downloadable content post-Nuka World. "As [Bethesda] previously said, Nuka World was the final one," he Responded after a fan asked him to weigh in on the recent rumors.

However, other theories have surfaced as to what this peculiar "Fallout 4" update could possibly be. Many fans have suggested that the game might finally be VR-compatible once the next big update comes along. Others have claimed that this merely an update to give more mod accessibility. While other suggest that the latest Fallout could be in-line for a Game of the Year type update with all the DLC packs bundled into the core game through a separate purchase.
Whatever the case may be, a new DLC pack for "Fallout 4" remains wishful thinking at best. However, fans should not be too disappointed to hear that Bethesda is keeping the update under wraps, possibly because this update might be just as good as a full-fledged DLC campaign.
