The "Batman" solo film made by Ben Affleck will mark not just the beginning of a franchise, but also the start of a long-running friendship. This is justified by the actors meant to play their respective roles in the said film, including veteran J.K. Simmons.
It was said that the standalone "Batman" film will be one of the most-awaited movies in the coming years, given that it will serve as Ben Affleck's first in the franchise as both director and lead. At this point, the cast behind the said movie have already spoken on their thoughts on Affleck, as well as revealing vital information.
According to Yahoo, "Whiplash" star J.K. Simmons stated his admiration for Affleck's work in the "Batman" standalone film, coming from the experience they both had in "The Accountant." Simmons said that he is already looking forward to the time that Affleck is to start filming the said superhero flick with him.
Affleck also iterated that he knew Simmons from over a year and a half back due to their shoot, which gave him the idea of casting him as Commissioner Gordon for the "Justice League" movie and presumably "Batman." Simmons, on the other hand, jokingly said that he wants to be the lazier actor and rest between takes until he gets called again for more shooting.
This leads to the question on when the "Batman" standalone movie will come forth or at least start filming. It was cordially answered by Joe Manganiello ("Magic Mike," "True Blood") who told Entertainment Tonight that they are to start the filming by spring of 2017. The actor had a few health anomalies which caused a little bit of concern to many, but the actor claimed that he is, indeed, doing quite alright and ready to fulfill his role as Deathstroke.
The "Batman" reboot will have Ben Affleck continuing his role as the Caped Crusader after first being introduced in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and following up with his cameo in "Suicide Squad." For further news, keep posted for more news here at GamenGuide.
