Many gamers have been looking forward to the upcoming release of "Titanfall 2." Latest news teased of the possibility of several game installments to the franchise, according to Respawn Entertainment's CEO.
"Titanfall 2" is another exciting addition to Respawn Entertainment's hit first-person shooter game. Scheduled for release towards the end of October, the game promises to deliver an action-packed adventure that involves the protagonist Jack and his mechanical Titan.
Some gamers may have speculated that future installments to the said game will only include one release to complete a potential trilogy series. However, Respawn Entertainment's founder Vince Zampella shared in an interview with IGN that they are hoping to add more titles to the "Titanfall" franchise.
Despite the absence of a specific roadmap for "Titanfall," the Respawn CEO hinted of the possibility of doing more games that will potentially include mobile versions. Zampella even made mention of the game's "expandable" universe that would allow for future enhancements.
The Respawn executive also commented on potential ideas for upcoming "Titanfall" installments. It appears that the company's game designers have a wealth of gaming ideas that Respawn can explore for future projects.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Zampella highlighted Respawn's relationship with Microsoft that he stated contributed to "Titanfall's" success. He also commented on the difficulty of deploying a Playstation 4 version of the game given Electronic Arts', the game's publisher, contract with Microsoft for game releases exclusive only to Xbox devices.
In other news, the latest "Titanfall 2" teaser video provided players with a closer look at the game character Jack and his Titan, Game Rant reported. The gameplay trailer contained some of the action scenes and battle scenarios that featured the said game character. Apart from the focus on the protagonist Jack, the clip also showcased the game's new characters and new locations.
