As per the earlier announcement, fans can now cast their votes for the new cover of 'Madden 25.' Maybe EA is tired of taking responsibility for that whole cover curse thing.
The vote is done tournament style, featuring brackets of 32 all-time NFL greats going helmet-to-helmet against one another, as well as battling the 32 modern NFL superstars, with the winners of each bracket facing off in the last round. In the end, the most popular NFL player of the past and today will win the cover.
"It's great to be back with another year of the award-winning Madden NFL Cover Vote for a brand-new game that will be the deepest and most innovative in the history of the franchise when it launches in August," says Anthony Stevenson, Senior Director of Marketing at EA SPORTS. "This year we're posing the ultimate question of who's more deserving; one of the NFL's all-time greats or one of today's hottest players?"
Votes can be cast through ESPN's web portal or via live Twitter voting during SportsNation on Tuesday afternoons. Regular polls will run until April 24, and the first round of competition pits Curtis Martin against Jerome Bettis (GO BUS), and Von Miller against Victor Cruz.
'Madden NFL 25' is slated to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in August.
