"Call of Duty" has lost one of the game's finest soldiers after braving fighting through almost three whole "Modern Warfare" games. According to reports, one Task Force 141 failed to return from the Oct. 11 mission last year. The mission was to assassinate the terrorist leader named Vladimir Makarov.
In "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," the "Blood Brothers" missions composed of Russian loyalist Yuri, Capt. John Price and Capt. John "Soap" MacTavish went on a mission in Prague to kill the villainous Makarov. However, the terrorist leader was tipped off to the murder plot. The tower where Soap and Yuri were posted in was reportedly destroyed, while Capt. MacTavish was fatally wounded in the same incident.
It was in "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" where Soap was initially seen as a brave young sergeant that serves in the SAS Special Forces. According to reports, Soap later became a Captain in Task Force 411, which was a multinational anti-terrorist unit. Known to be among the series' most notable characters, Soap is a big loss and would definitely be missed by the fans.

Meanwhile, eSports announcer Ben "Benson" Bowe reportedly goes wild in what called as the clutch "Call of Duty" play. It was during the "Call of Duty" World League tournament that was held in South Africa this week when the last-second win happened. Reports indicate that Royal eSports was leading the game with more than P41in Gaming with only 13 seconds remaining on the clock, which is nearly a game-over. However, P41in Gaming member named "H4RMZ" took out the only Royal teammate left to secure the round at the last second.
"Call of Duty" World League fifth place was eventually bagged by P41in Gaming. According to observers, the level of excitement during the game would normally happen in a major upset to bag an Olympic gold, but in this case, it only for an early-round win. The tournament concluded with Energy Astra bagging the first place, including the $8,000 worth of prize money, Mashable reported.
