Any FPS player worth their salt knows that the headshot is the pinnacle kill in modern gaming, and "Sniper: Ghost Recon 2" features a whole lot of 'em. Check it out below.
All the blood spattery goodness you see when you put a round through an enemy's skull comes courtesy of CryEngine 3, providing all sorts of ooey gooey glitz.
Gamers will have their pick from much more than a scoped rifle, including Claymore mines, C4 charges, knives for close encounter, silent kills, and more. And developer City Interactive is very excited about their Matrix-esque "Bullet Cam mode," the mechanic seen in the trailer that slows things down so players can watch their kill in cinematic glory.
Players have had to wait a long time for the next "Ghost Warrior" game. Originally set for an August release, the game was delayed to January, and now we're looking at a release date of March 15th. With the date so close, it's hard to figure the game could be delayed yet again, but best wait and see just to be sure.
"Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2" will release for PC, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, and Xbox 360.
