The latest "Mortal Kombat X" patch launched on Oct. 4, 2016, featuring a wide array of character changes and gameplay and balance fixes. According to NetherRealm, the "Mortal Kombat X" update was intended to put the different characters more in line with each other for better overall gaming experience.
According to reports, the "Mortal Kombat X" patch has a file size of 28GB. This will rebalance the gameplay, improve the netcode and introduce a number of standard graphics features for PC gamers to play and enjoy the title, such as proper widescreen support. The "Mortal Kombat X" update also featured The Pit environment and the Medieval Skin Pack. The new update was released on the same date as 'Mortal Kombat XL" on PC, which also brings four new playable characters, namely Leatherface from "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," Bo Rai Cho, Triborg and Xenomorph from "Alien."
The Warner Bros. community page listed all the patch notes for the "Mortal Kombat X" patch. Some of the general gameplay fixes include various move list corrections, the energy cost of running having been increased from 15 to 25, and the Kounter message added when a hit lands as a counterattack or punish. Delayed Wakeup no longer activates if the block button is held while holding down. The new "Mortal Kombat X" update removed the additional requirements for WBID unlocks. Getting hit while running also drains 50 energy.
Various system changes were introduced for "Mortal Kombat X," such as tweaks in air attacks, running, armor and the hurtbox. The new "Mortal Kombat X" patch introduced several character specific adjustments. Alien will have an extended hurt region while attacking with the tail, Tail Slam and Spinner no longer have armor and fixes were made on Drone Drop and the Acid damage stacking. Bo Rai Cho had tweaks made on Dragon Breath, Drunken Master and Bartitsu.
The "Mortal Kombat X" update also featured changes for the characters Cassie, D'Vorah, Ermac, Erron Black, Ferra/Torr, Goro, Jacqui, Jason, Jax, Johnny Cage, Kano, Kenshi, Kitana, Kotal Kahn, Kung Lao, Kung Jin, Leatherface and Liu Kang, and their respective abilities. More adjustments were also done on Mileena, Predator, Quan Chi, Raiden, Reptile, Scorpion, Shinnok, Sonya, Subzero, Takeda, Tanya and Triborg.
