Rumors of "Winds of Winter" not being written by George RR Martin is escalating. There are claims that George RR Martin would no longer work on the upcoming sequel for "A Song of Fire and Ice."
Although there are no proof that the sequel for "A Song of Fire and Ice," "Winds of Winter" would never be written, it has spawned a lot of issues for the avid enthusiasts. Even George RR Martin did not render any utter any word that supports the notion for its cancellation.
It is irrefutable that George RR Martin is one of highly regarded authors of this generation and he already stated that he would work on the sequel of "A Song of Fire and Ice," in the proper time. Also, he urged fans to not worry since "Winds of Winter" would finally be out in the latter time.

GamenGuide also reported of some other rumors pertaining to "Winds of Winter." However, all of it were debunked in the report as well. According to the report, GRRM retaliates against the fans and followers of the book series and even though there are rumors, there has been no definitive proof that George RR Martin is angry towards being rushed to write and release "Winds of Winter."
In a different note, N4BB also relayed that the possible release date for "Winds of Winter" might fall within 2017 and 2018, but that should be taken with a grain of salt as well.
Given the delay, worries are bound to arise but George RR Martin has already affirmed that the materials for "Winds of Winter" are vast and he would be using it to write the sequel of "A Song of Fire and Ice."
