Bethesda is pretty much done with "Fallout 4," having rolled out the final DLC, "Nuka-World" back in August. However, fans of the game who are PlayStation 4 owners continued to wait for updates on the release date of the PS4 mods for the game. Just when people started to believe that Sony and Bethesda have scrapped the plans for modding, it was confirmed that the mods are actually coming, and it will arrive alongside "Skyrim" Special Edition, which will be on Oct. 28.
Just last month, fans got the heartbreaking news that Sony and Bethesda have dropped their collaboration for the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. Back then, the game studio said in a statement that Sony did not "approve user mods the way they should work." Now, Bethesda has confirmed in their latest blog post that the mods are indeed coming. The mods for PS4 will arrive first on "Skyrim." "We and Sony have worked hard to make this possible," the company wrote.
As exciting the news may be, it remains to be seen when exactly Bethesda plans to rollout the "Fallout 4" PS4 mods. The exact schedule has not been revealed but it's already great to know that the mods are coming after all. There's just a bit of limitation that comes with the hotly anticipated PS4 mods - Bethesda made it clear that the mods can only use game assets that already exist. In other words, players can only tweak the stuff that's found in the base game.
Meanwhile, GamesRadar has come up with the list of "Fallout 4" mods that will work on Sony's console. There's the mod that allows players to have one companion and Dogmeat always around. The "Fallout 4" PS4 mods could also allow tweaks for unlimited building and unlimited crafting supplies container.
Cheat activation and applying effects on legendary guns are also possible for PS4. Despite the set limitation for PS4 mods, players are expected to enjoy a great time with the "Fallout 4" mods once they finaly rollout.
