'Assassin's Creed: Empire' Release Date, News & Update: Leaked! May have a Different Concept

As Ubisoft previously announced, this will will not be the year of the "Assassin's Creed" game. Adding new surprising news to the development of the game, is the apparent changes in the game concept like how missions are done, the conventional climbing of towers and structured process, the game is known for.

In a recent interview with Ubisoft VP of Editorial Tommy François, he said "I do think we need to break that [open world] formula. This year we've given 'Far Cry' and 'Assassin's [Creed]' some time to decant, innovate, and polish. The objective behind this is exactly that. You'd be surprised - there are so many prototypes of alternatives."

It's likely, that the "Assassin's Creed" game will not even get a sequel in 2017. That leaves fans to expect the game to arrive by 2018. Meanwhile, the PlayStation Lifestyle recently posted a leaked "Assassin's Creed" screen. Interestingly and if the report is true, it can be noticed how the next location is conceptualized in Egypt.

The leaked "Assassin's Creed" screenshot has not been verified or denied by Ubisoft. Does this mean that, despite the developer downplaying the game; they are actually working on its future launching?

The image search did not reveal much information that may connect its apparent leakage to any of the Ubisoft team. Nevertheless, the report said, the images was traced to have originated in Montreal, Canada. The "Assassin's Creed" series also came from the team in Ubisoft Montreal. A twitter post by a certain Nibel under the handle @nibellion shows the image that clearly implies the Egyptian location.

As an added authenticity for the game, it is also codenamed "Assassin's Creed Empire." Are you confident that the game's sequel will arrive next year? Don't miss the latest "Assassin's Creed" news and update by checking us here on GameNGuide.
