Part 2 of the series "Vikings" Season 4 has an additional 10 more episodes. Even its fifth season would have the same episodes as well. While part 2 for season 4 will return on November 30 on its new time slot at 9pm. Kris Holden-Ried will also be joining the cast on Season 5 as Eyvind. Speculated air date for Season 6 will be on 2018.
Due to the great success of "Vikings" Season 4, a surprise has been made for the fans to add 10 more episodes for the series and a renewal. The new episodes will feature the sage of Ragnar and his sons which were ready to take over from what their father left. According to Den Of Geek this is set in the future as they were already aged and ready to take on the quest.
"Vikings" Season 5 will be welcoming Kris Holden-Ried as Eyvind he is also a Viking from Kattegat. His role remains undisclosed.However, it is anticipated that it would create an impact to the other Vikings, as per Inquistr.

According to the creator and writer Michael Hirst, they've made "Vikings" Season 4 to its highest level of historical drama, he also added that season 5 will be set in Ireland together with Jonathan Krys Meyers as the "Tudors."
