Bayonetta 2 Could Head to Other Platforms Beyond Wii U, But It's Up to Nintendo

When the Wii U was announced in early Fall, it was revealed that Bayonetta 2 would be an exclusive title to the new Nintendo console. Obviously, this upset a few people, namely, fans of the first Bayonetta games, and Sarah Palin campaign supporters.

However, it's since been revealed that there's an outside chance that the game could come potentially come to other systems, but the final say is up to Nintendo.

Platinum Games designer Hideki Kamiya posted on Twitter that the company is willing to publish both Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101, but they need say-so from Nintendo higher ups first. Evidently, a lot of fans have been pestering the company for them to publish the games on (an)other console(s).

"We are a developer. Nintendo are the ones kind enough to fund and publish our The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 projects," said Kayima, according to a translation he retweeted later. "So if Nintendo says, 'We are publishing Bayonetta 2 on PS3/360,' then it will happen. So please go ask them, not us." Translation - "Go ask Nintendo and leave me alone."

Similarly, another Platinum employee earlier this week told fans that the company is also open to bring Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance to the Wii U, but needs approval from Konami first.

Not much is known about the Bayonetta sequel. In last month's Nintendo Direct, Platinum Games showed a development trailer for the game. They said game development was going smoothly, but did not go into many gameplay details.
