October is here that means new free game title offering from Sony for PlayStation owners. There are several new titles included in the PlayStation Plus October 2016 lineup and it seems that big and fan-favorite titles are getting the attention. Sony and rival Microsoft have already revealed the games that are part of their respective programs and from the looks of it, the former has a better lineup than the latter.
Several news outlets agree that PlayStation Plus free games for October 2016 are more interesting compared to the titles offered by Xbox Live Games with Gold. To start off, Sony has two major titles offered free this month - "Resident Evil" and the action-packed "Transformers: Devastation," both for PS4.
The "Resident Evil" game that's part of the PlayStation Plus October 2016 lineup is a remastered HD version. As previously reported by GamenGuide, Halloween-themed releases would be fitting for this month and it turns out that it's what Sony just offered in the form of "Resident Evil." Sony also mentioned in its blog post that making the game free would also be appropriate since Capcom is celebrating 20 years of the franchise this year. The fast-action game "Transformers: Devastation" brings something familiar to those who are fans of the original TV series.
PlayStation 3 owners also get to have free PlayStation Plus games for October - "Mad Riders" and "From Dust." "Mad Riders" features an off-road racing game for those who enjoy action behind the wheels. "From Dust" lets players play god and manipulate the environment so the inhabitants can survive.
PS Vita owners also get "Code: Realize - Guardians of Rebirth" and "Actual Sunlight" as part of the PlayStation Plus October 2016 free games lineup. "Code: Realize" features a visual novel game that lets players step into the shoes of a female character who has a deadly touch. She is set to learn more about her past with five European writers to help her out. "Actual Sunlight," on the other hand, lets players play the life of Evan Winter in a story of love and depression.
