Rayman Legends has been delayed from early 2013 to "early September," says Ubisoft.
Legends, which until now had been expected to hit stores later this month, is now a part of the Wii U's fall lineup. Initially revealed as Wii U day-one launch title, the game was delayed until early 2013 late last year, keeping it inside Nintendo's expansive Wii U "launch window," which ends on March 31st.
At the same time, Ubisoft also announced that Legends will no longer release as a Wii U exclusive. The game will come out simultaineously on Wii U, Xbox 360, and PS3 when it hits stores in September. Initially designed for the Wii U, Legends utilizes the console's touchscreen in a few different ways. Ubisoft did not speculate on how it plans to translate those mechanics to the more traditional PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers.
