The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has recently been released in India and to all buyers starting Sept. 26. The handset was previously made official in China last March and in Malaysia last June. Other smartphones to look out for are the Google Pixel and Pixel XL in October and the LeEco Le 2 Pro.
The launching of Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is said to be a way of diverting attention from the recent battery pack explosion issues of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which reportedly cost the company around $1 billion. The smartphone has three color options namely Black, White and Gold. The 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.9mm handset weighs 210g and includes the new 4GB RAM, 6-inch super AMOLED display with full HD resolution 1,920 x 1,080 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Pro will be powered by 1.8Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 652 Octa-core processor with Adreno 510 GPU, 5,000mAH battery and 32GB internal storage expandable for up to 128GB via microSD card, Mobile N Apps reported.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a customized TouchWiz UI. The handset includes an 8MP front and 16MP rear camera with Autofocus, LED Flashlight and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Interestingly, the A9 Pro boasts a fingerprint sensor.
In other news, the year 2016 is expected to see the launch of five smartphones. To start with, Xiaomi Mi 5S was slated for Sept. 27. The 5.15-inch smartphone has a Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage as well as a 16MP rear camera and 3,490mAh battery.
Google is also expected to reveal two smartphones on Oct. 4 this year. The Google Pixel is slated to feature virtual reality (VR), a quad-core 1.6Ghz Qualcomm processor and a 4K compatible Chromecast.
Meanwhile, Google Pixel XL will feature an aluminum unibody design, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor , 4GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Finally, The LeEco Le 2 Pro is a mid-range device which was previously scheduled for release in August but had been pushed to November, Economic Times reported.
