Apple has been absolutely silent about its MacBook line of computers. There are several rumors doing rounds and one of them is that Apple MacBook Air 2016 and Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will have a secondary OLED display specifically designed to highlight function keys.
Set of rumors suggest that the MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 will have trackpad supporting the Apple Pencil. This makes total sense as currently the Apple Pencil can be used only on the iPad Pro. It will be liberating for Apple users to have the Pencil in hand for the MacBook line.
According to Tech Times, if Apple decides to launch both the MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 in October, the highly-talked-about Intel Kaby Lake chipset may not be incorporated into the devices. Reports suggest that the production of the devices have already begun. In fact, an analyst from IHS Securities, Rhoda Alexander, confirmed the news to Forbes and also talked about an October release. As the report came from Forbes, this rumor seems too true to be false. Alexander also confirmed previous reports of the devices getting into production during the second calendar quarter of 2016.
While Apple has not provided any concrete information on the upcoming MacBook line of products, Intel Kaby Lake processor is probably out of question. A possible reason for Apple to not go with the Kaby Lake processor could be the cost of the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 and Apple MacBook Air 2016. Settling for Intel Skylake chipsets may help in bringing the costs down to a certain extent. On the other hand, Apple, who is focusing on bringing the best graphics performance to its devices, may face a problem if settling for an older architecture, writes International Business Times.
Gadgets 360 reported in August that Apple is also looking to bring the 5K display in October and is working with LG to build 5K display standalone monitors with integrated GPUs. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 news and updates!
