Apple recently released iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and Apple Watch Series 2 but hype surrounding the iPhone 8 is already on the rise. It is believed that the iPhone 8 will be released in the last quarter of 2017 and it will boast of some of the most-advanced specs when released.
Apple would be looking to surprise fans with an out-of-the-box iPhone 8 as 2017 would mark the 10th year anniversary of the original iPhone. Apple dropped the 3.5mm headphone jack from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 8 may go with wireless charging technology, writes International Business Times.
Rumors suggest that the iPhone 8 would be made of ceramic material as aluminum cannot be improved further. The Cupertino-based tech giant would be looking to maximize its technology with the iPhone 8.
An improved AMOLED technology may be implemented in iPhone 8. The resolutions of the 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch handsets may also be boosted. A third screen size may also be developed with OLED display. Fingerprint sensor, intelligent Home button and 3D touch technology could be coming too!
If reports are to be believed, Apple would be looking to perfect its technology to identify differences between 3D touches and Home button taps. Other possible inclusions in the rumored iPhone 8 could be a 3D camera, waterproof make and already mentioned wireless charging.
One big reason why many believe the wireless charging technology could be coming to the iPhone 8 is the Apple W1 chip already found in the AirPods. This wireless chip being developed by Apple is responsible for wireless charging.
Moreover, VentureBeat secured a document from Nasqad-listed company Energous that specifies "Apple Compliance Testing." Apple reportedly was the only company to pass requirements for embedding the WattUp technology provided by Energous that enables phones to be charged wirelessly. Meanwhile, Trusted Reviews reported that Apple's supplier of metal chassis, Foxconn, is developing a glass casing to replace the metal chassis.
