‘Overwatch’ Latest News & Update: Blizzard Brings Thumbstick Acceleration Control! Will This Make Game Better or Not? More Details Revealed

New update for the team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game, "Overwatch," should be glad to know that it includes thumbstick acceleration control. Does this new feature improve the game in general?

According to a report done by Nashville Chatter, console gamers can now have a breath of relief with the new update fixing the thumbstick acceleration control for "Overwatch." PC gamers are not really bothered by this issued since they used their mouse and keyboard.

The game's developer, Blizzard, created a simple but rather efficient and clever way to get around this issue. With the new update, "Overwatch" players are introduced to the dual zone mode. In the previous version of the game, sensitivity of the thumbstick is being reduced in turn increasing its acceleration.

Blizzard explained that this in detail stating that this has been a universal rule in most game titles, like the "Overwatch," that widely affects the accuracy. "With the new dual zone mode, when the thumb stick goes 10 percent out of its range, it automatically lowers acceleration and will have high sensitivity. This mode will allow for more precise aiming, while still allowing players to turn around quickly."

In relation to that news, the so called Triple Tank Strategy is now currently engulfing the competitive meta. The new Triple Tank Strategy or commonly known as "triple tank-triple support" or "double triple," which is self-explanatory. It might be popular today but some still regard the new tactics as plain and boring.

"We call the triple-tank Meta cancer Meta. Until now that was Genji Winston, but not anymore. The Meta doesn't really make much sense in our eyes" Team Dignitas player Artur "art1er" said in an interview. "The tank just goes to the front, takes damage and Ana heals until she has her Ultimate and can Nano-Boost. To me that kind of play has nothing to do with skill. After that it's just a couple of swings with the Hammer and you get mauled by Reinhardt. It's really just an abuse of the mechanic."

"Overwatch" is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Overwatch" news and updates!
