USA Network's "Mr. Robot" Season 2 has ended once again with a big cliffhanger that left fans thirsting for more. The ending to the second season is even much of a cliffhanger than the previous season. As expected, there will be a lot of questions about what's next for Elliot (Rami Malek) in the upcoming season, but one of the big questions will be on the fate of Angela (Portia Doubleday), according to series creator Sam Esmail. What should fans expect in "Mr. Robot" Season 3?
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently, Esmail predicts that fans will want to know more what happened to Elliot's childhood friend. "What happened to Angela? Has she really been flipped? Or is she now playing some other motivation?" Esmail shared. Some viewers will easily get frustrated at how Angela's motivations remain unclear and that's what makes the character fascinating. Esmail also said that it's hard to figure out which side Angela is on but that should be something to look forward to in "Mr. Robot" Season 3.
Esmail also revealed that "Mr. Robot" Season 3 will also look into what will happen to fsociety members Trenton (Sunita Mani) and Mobley (Azhar Khan) and Darlene (Carly Chaikin) and Dom's (Grace Gummer) relationship. Further, Esmail also stated that viewers will soon find out the connection between White Rose (BD Wong) and the Washington Township Plant. "What is going on in that plant? Why does she care so much about it? Also, what did she tell Angela to convince her of that?" - these are the questions Esmail will answer when "Mr. Robot" returns for season 3, highlighting that they are the "big, overarching mysteries" of the series.
As for the release date, "Mr. Robot" Season 3 is expected to air sometime in summer 2017. Speculations are rife that the series will return in June or July 2017 based on the scheduled release dates of the previous seasons.
