Reports suggest that Apple, after the release of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, is solely concentrating on the Pro line. It is also believed that Apple will release or at least announce its MacBook Pro 2016 in October. The current MacBook Pro is available in 13and 15-inch models. It will be interesting to see if Apple introduces major design and specs changes in the MacBook pro 2016.
As per Mobile & Apps, Apple may make the MacBook Pro 2016 thinner, sleeker and lighter. Moreover, the innovative hinge design could also make its way to the device along with more color options. Apple has not made much change to its MacBook line for a long time and a design upgrade is on the cards for a long time.
Apple took a risky decision by removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It seems that the company will stick to its decision and gradually remove the jack from all its upcoming devices including MacBook Pro 2016.
According to Apple Insider, the physical function keys will be replaced by the much-talked-about OLED Touch Bar. A Touch ID sensor and AMD Polaris-based GPU may feature in the MacBook Pro 2016. A lot of hype has been generated by the possibility a fully-detachable touch screen.
A 4K or 5K screen may not seem possible with an October release but Apple may increase the pixel per inch for the screen resolution. The company may also extend Apple Pencil support beyond the iPad. A MacBook Pro 2016 with Apple Pencil would be cool enough.
The most talked about part of the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is the processor. As previously reported by GameNGuide, for an October release, Apple may have to let go the Intel Kaby Lake processor and settle for the Skylake processor instead.
The sixth generation Skylake processor is powerful enough to boost the MacBook Pro 2016's speed and also help in improving the battery life. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more MacBook Pro 2016 news and updates!
