PlayStation Plus October 2016 Free Games Latest News & Update: ‘Watch Dogs,’ ‘Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’ Confirmed; More Titles Revealed

October is just around the corner and there will be a new set of free games offered free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Sony hasn't confirmed the PlayStation Plus October 2016 lineup but there are rumors of the list of games soon to be part of the list. Reports have it that Sony will be featuring triple A titles next month.

According to Christian Times, PlayStation Plus October 2016 list of games will include Japanese games. Some of these titles include "Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus," "BlazBlue: Chronophantasma Extend" and "Nights of Azure." The Bitbag, on the other hand, predicts that "Watch Dogs" will most likely be offered free. The game's sequel is releasing this year and it is rumored that game developer Ubisoft might increase the hype for "Watch Dogs 2" by making the original game part of the PlayStation Plus lineup.

Other predictions also include games that are considered old. ThisGenGaming reported that "Killzone: Shadow Fall" could be one of the free games for PlayStation Plus October 2016. In addition, "The Evil Within" could also make it to the list. The publication noted that a horror-themed title would only be appropriate for October since it's also Halloween month. Given that "Killzone: Shadow Fall" and "The Evil Within" are three years and two years old, respectively, it would make sense if these titles will be part of the free games lineup.

Meanwhile, "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" is also predicted to be one of the titles included in PlayStation Plus October 2016 lineup. The game is considered old enough and it's already available as a free title for various gaming platforms. According to ThisGenGaming, "Black Flag" features a lengthy gameplay, which should be worthwhile for gamers.

While the abovementioned titles may be interesting for any PlayStation Plus subscriber, it should be noted that Sony hasn't confirmed the list yet and the reports should be taken with a pinch of salt. The official list will likely be available towards the end of September.
