Bethesda has finally completed the post-release support for its hit game, "Fallout 4," and having closed the chapters on the post-apocalyptic themed game, fans are expecting that the developer will soon shift its focus on "The Elder Scrolls" series - in particular, the development of the hotly anticipated role-playing game, "The Elder Scrolls 6."
The good news is that Bethesda already confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is happening. The bad news is that fans may need to wait that long before the game becomes available. In fact, there will be two more big projects coming from Bethesda before the studios will focus work on "The Elder Scrolls" franchise.
However, according to latest reports, Bethesda might just be able to complete the game by 2019. Although it was already made clear by chief game creator Todd Howard and VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is still "a long way off," there are still reports claiming that the RPG game should come out in two years' time.
According to BreatheCast, "The Elder Scrolls 6" will most probably be available in 2019 since Bethesda is observed to have a four-year-gap release in between installments in the franchise. The latest entry is "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited," which came out in 2015. Whether or not there is truth to this report remains to be seen, but guys at Bethesda have highlighted that it would take long before a new "The Elder Scrolls" game will be ready.
Nevertheless, fans of the franchise are still excited, especially about the idea that "The Elder Scrolls 6" might be a VR-capable title. In an interview with GameIndustry Biz, Howard expressed that the company is interested in exploring virtual reality. Although he didn't explicitly mention that "TES 6" will be VR-ready, speculation is rife that the game might just have this technology.
Fans may need to wait for a long time on a new "The Elder Scrolls 6" game. A remastered version of "Skyrim" is coming on Oct. 28 and fans can just enjoy this new version while waiting for the sixth installment. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "The Elder Scrolls 6" news and updates!
