A new "Star Wars Battlefront" video recently surfaced, providing more details about the Death Star expansion. The brief clip lasted only 20 seconds and teased the appearance of Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca and Bossk. The full "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star trailer will reportedly air on Sept. 16, 2016.
GameSpot noted that in the "Star Wars Battlefront" video, the Stormtroopers and Rebel forces were heavily engaged in combat. Chewbacca growled in the background. The next scene featured Luke Skywalker leading his team to attack the Death Star. The game title and full trailer launch date appeared at the end of the clip.
"Star Wars Battlefront" will arrive with new Star Cards, maps and weapons. Two new heroes, Chewbacca and Bossk, will also be included in the Death Star DLC. There will reportedly be a Battle Station mode that covers three phases. In the last stage, players take on the role of Luke Skywalker who flies his Red-5 X-wing to destroy the Death Star. The scene is quite different from what fans may remember in "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope."
VG247 reported that in "Star Wars Battlefront," Chewbacca has more health than most heroes. In "Star Wars Battlefront," Chewbacca can shoot an extra explosive bolt per trait level, up to a total of four, and up to eight via the Multi-Bolts power. The character also has Might Roar and Ground Slam. Bossk is equipped with the Relby-v10. He also has Trandoshan Regeneration, Toxic Escape, and Predatory Instincts and throws powerful grenades.
The official launch date of "Star Wars Battlefront" Death Star expansion has not been confirmed, but EA stated that it will be sometime in September 2016. According to the Battlefront Live Events Calendar, there will be a double XP event from September 23 to 25 to celebrate the launch of Death Star. The new "Star Wars Battlefront" DLC should be available at that time. Death Star is the third expansion in "Star Wars Battlefront," following Outer Rim and Bespin. The fourth DLC, Rogue One: Scarif, is inspired by the upcoming movie "Star Wars: Rogue One," which will release in December 2016.
