After teasing the arrival of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto" in Weekly Jump early in September 2016, Bandai Namco officially announced the DLC game. The first screenshots of the "Naruto Shippuden" DLC were also released, together with some plot details.
"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" focuses on Naruto's son, Boruto, and a new generation of the Hidden Leaf Village. The initial copies will reportedly feature a download code for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" and "Road to Boruto" special soundtrack. The initial print copies of the package edition will feature a reversible cover jacket. Players who already have "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" can buy the "Road to Boruto" DLC.
Gematsu reported that the package version of "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is recommended for players who do not own the game yet and wish to avail of the exclusive bonus. The download version are ideal for players who wish to acquire "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" as data. The "Road to Boruto" DLC is recommended for those who already owns the main game. Both the package and download version includes the main game and three DLCs.
iTechPost noted that "Naruto Shippuden - Road to Boruto" will include a high speed battle between SasukaUchia and Kinshiki. The preview at the Tokyo Game Show 2016 will showcase a demo fight between the two characters. Bandai Namco is expected to share more about the storyline and new characters at the event. The DLC will be available at around $24, while the budget version will be priced at around $37.
"Naruto Shippuden" players who purchased the download version between Feb. 2 and Mar. 1, 2016 will have it downloaded with the main game. Fans can get more details about "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 - Road to Boruto" at Tokyo Game Show 2016 from September 15 to 18. The event will feature a playable demo and initial trailer. Bandai Namco also intends to launch a "Welcome Price!!" budget version of the title on November 22 in Japan.
