Scarlet Witch has played a vital role in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and "Captain America: Civil War." So does this mean that Wanda Maximoff a.k.a. Scarlet Witch is ready for her very own movie? Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the fictional superhero, may have her reservations but she is not shooting down the idea.
If Scarlet Witch will be given a chance to have a solo movie, it will definitely diversify the current slate of Marvel Films. Since the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe remains firmly a male-lead affair, it is going to be refreshing to finally have a female lead Marvel movie. So is Elizabeth Olsen up for it?
'Scarlet Witch' Movie: Is Elizabeth Olsen ready for her very first solo movie as a Marvel superhero?
When Huffington Post asked if she is open to the idea that her character will be given a solo movie, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that would only do it if the movie will have a meaning to it. "It's not something I'm opposed to, but it's also something that has to make a lot of sense. I wouldn't just do it just to do it," Elizabeth Olsen told the site. But I'd be open to talking about it. I'd never say no to just an idea."

'Scarlet Witch' movie: Elizabeth Olsen will only be a part of the movie if it makes sense
Despite the exciting news of a possible "Scarlet Witch" movie, not all Marvel fans are happy about it. Many preferred that Marvel will prioritize a Black Widow movie first before jumping into Scarlet Witch story. Since being introduced in 2010, Black Widow has been an important player in Marvel. However, aside from Hawkeye, Black Widow is the only one of the Avengers to not star in her own movie. This has been to the dismay of many fans, including actor Clark Gregg, a.k.a. Phil Coulson on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who believes it's time for Black Widow to go on her own adventure.
'Scarlet Witch' movie: Marvel fans and co-star disappointed that Black Widow is being snubbed?
Speaking to Digital Spy, Clark Gregg shared his disappointment stating that Black Widow has been around since day one and the character is being portrayed by a great actress, Scarlett Johansson. He just can't seem to see the point of giving Scarlet Witch the chance of her very own movie while Black Widow was being settled as a supporting character.
