The controversial Nintendo gaming console, Nintendo NX, that is speculated to be released next year has gathered an amount of buzz all over the web. The Japan-based company has always been tightlipped about the features of the hybrid console. However, a recent rumor spawned out of the blue claiming that the upcoming Nintendo NX will use cartridges instead of a disc to play the console's games.
Nintendo NX Will Use Cartridges Instead of Discs?
The Nintendo NX is believed to be a home gaming console that also has TV capabilities and a portable screen that can used for mobile gaming. To simply put it, the Nintendo gaming console is a handheld device with detachable controls with multiple gaming probabilities.
In order for the Nintendo NX to reach its capabilities, it seems like the hybrid handheld device will use gaming cartridges. Despite the limited space, Gamespot reports that the cartridges may have similarities with the ones the Nintendo 3DS has in the past. The 3DS Disc is able to store 500GB of data, giving it ample amount of storage for games.
Nintendo NX To Be Announced Next Month?
Yibada reports that the highly-anticipated Nintendo NX is speculated to be unveiled next month including its features and some other important details. However, it is difficult to tell how legit the rumors are without any confirmation from the Nintendo Company.
Meanwhile, Nintendo, maker of Nintendo NX, has announced recently that it will soon be releasing the "Super Mario Run" game in both iOS and Android devices soon. Just like the "Pokemon GO" game, the new "Super Mario Run" is expected to be as successful as the former.
