HBO's "GoT" is approaching the finale of the series as there will be one more season following "Game of Thrones" Season 7, which airs this year. With that said, fans are hoping that Rhaegar Targaryen will finally make an appearance before they say goodbye to the critically-acclaimed series.
It might just be possible, according to several reports, after IGN shared the casting details for "Game of Thrones" Season 7. There was a description for the character, a Young Lord said to be in his late 20's. The character was described to be "a tall, handsome young lord" who will be using the RP accent. Filming with this said character will start on the week of Sept. 20. Rumor has it that the description perfectly fits Rhaegar and having him would only make sense since it has long been speculated that he is Jon Snow's real father.
In addition to Rhaegar's possible appearance, it was noted in the casting announcement that actors will need to use RP accent, and according to Watchers on the Wall, this likely suggests that new cast members will have a role to play in the King's Landing. In relation to this, the website, citing insiders, revealed that Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) will be at a dragon pit in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Sources also confirmed to the website that Daenerys will indeed arrive on King's Landing.
It is also expected that Daenerys will engage in a deadly battle with Cersei (Lena Headey). Since Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is likely to tag along Daenerys, there could be a reunion among the Lannister siblings in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and things are bound to get intense, Vanity Fair pointed out.
It's still a long wait before "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premieres. The HBO series will return sometime in 2017 and fans will just have to stay tuned and wait for more updates.
