The GTA series has been crucial to PlayStation consoles and as the Sony PlayStation event may reveal the PlayStation 4 Neo and PlayStation Slim, gamers believe "GTA 6" may also be revealed during the event. Unfortunately, Sony has also been extremely tight-lipped about its consoles and information based on fact is hard to get.
"GTA 6" developer Rockstar has been awfully silent about the upcoming games and has not released any official information so far. Game details and details on future of the series are not clear at this point. However, latest rumors suggest that "GTA 6" will be announced this year or early 2017 but released in 2018.
Take-Two, in the most recent fiscal report, announced that Rockstar is currently working on a few projects but "Grand Theft Auto 6" was not mentioned. Game enthusiasts believe the projects may include a new DLC for "GTA 5." Some rumors making rounds have even stated that "GTA 6" will be released at Gamescom 2016 in September.
If Rockstar follows its 4-5 years release pattern for "GTA 6," then the 2018 rumor seems logical. In that case, gamers can expect Rockstar to announce the game during E3 2017, writes Neuro Gadget. While nothing is official, gamers are letting their minds speak in various gaming forums. Some expect the game to be set in 1960's London and be related to "GTA: Vice City Stories."
Many anticipate that it will either be set in Tokyo or will capture several American cities. Rumors surrounding the "GTA 6" game's protagonist suggest that players may be taking control of a female character and she would be voiced by Hollywood celebrity Eva Mendes, reports International Business Times.
Whatever is the case, "GTA 6" may come with the VR option and it is highly possible that the game will be shipped as a next-gen console bundle or for the upcoming PS4 and Xbox Scorpio. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "GTA 6" news and updates!
