It appears that the channel is wooing Nina Dobrev to come back in for the ending of "The Vampire Diaries," but latest news speculate that Dobrev might possibly enter "The Originals" as Katherine instead. Moreover, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's return is an awaited part in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

The CW recently confirmed that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 would be the final season for the segment. Meanwhile, the show's producer, Julie Plec, recently relayed that Dobrev swore for to come back in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.
