'Minecraft' Latest News & Updates: Mojang Confirms Two New Enemy Bosses; Pocket Edition, Windows 10 Release Details

Adventurous players of "Minecraft" will have some big plans to do as it has been recently confirmed that two new enemy bosses will be introduced in the next update. Update 0.16 does not just stop there, but introduces a load of new content which "Minecraft" players are sure to enjoy. These new additions include new blocks, slash commands, beacons, ocean monuments and the corresponding trinkets for them to be explored.

While "Minecraft" has been known in the gaming world for its strenuous virtual construction with building blocks, a part of the experience also includes dealing with enemies. However, a long span of time has passed since an update has been released on that aspect of the "Minecraft" experience.

Mojang reports that there will be two bigs bads for this update which include Elder Guardian and Wither. Elder guardian likes chilling in the new underwater ocean monuments with a battalion of minions while shooting lasers. Wither, on the other hand, is a three headed spooky monster that shoots blue skulls to a players face. That said, being able to be strong enough to defeat these two big bads will reward a player with rare loot which can include sponges and Nether Stars.

Screenrant reports that another notable addition in the update will be "survival mode" wherein players would be able to seek out and explore monuments underwater. This is also more likely to bring rare elements to mine, but of course, carries with it the risk of facing fierce guardians.

As for the player who only goes for the building part of "Minecraft", there are also a lot to look forward to. These include the addition of sea-sponge building elements and prismarine blocks which can be very useful for those who have aspired of expanding their arsenal of building materials.

This big update will be available for free pretty soon in all Pocket Edition, Windows 10 edition, and Gear VR Edition. For those who are using Android, the beta is already available for testing right now if a player signs up and gives feedback. Also, a "Minecraft" film is currently in production and is expected to be released in 2019.
