Reports suggest that Xbox 720 might have Kinect 2 and Blu-ray optical drive.
Reports from UK-based Xbox World have suggested that Microsoft's next-generation console will feature Kinect 2 that will come in as a standard feature. Kinect 2 will have accurate image and depth recognition in comparison with Xbox 360. This will let the user gain more control over games and the console's user interface.
The report also mentions Blu-ray Disc drive. PlayStation 3 already has a Blu-ray drive and DVD drives have limited capacity. There is also a speculation that Microsoft might take the "downloads only" route, but all parts of the world do not have high-speed broadband Internet connections.
Other rumored specifications include an upgrade to USB 3.0, a magnesium alloy shell to aid cooling and AV inputs for the user to record TV to the Xbox 720's hard drive.
There is a possibility that Microsoft might unveil its next-generation gaming console, dubbed Xbox 360, at E3 2013 in June, TrustedReviews reported.
Meanwhile, the upcoming app, Karaoke for Xbox 360 from Microsoft and The Karaoke Channel will let users stream songs for an hourly fee, PlayXBLA reported.
The app has more than 8,000 tracks. The main feature in this app is that the user need not download the tracks like in other websites. The song streams directly from the game servers. The app will let users select the song of their choice and tweak the keys, and it also has an optional vocal track. The app will let users pick achievements.
The tracks range from genres like pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop and country.
Microsoft has not revealed the pricing of the application.
