Sony has unveiled a new game for PlayStation Vita - Uncharted: Fight For Fortune.
Uncharted: Fight For Fortune is a card game.
According to Sony Bend's co-studio director Chris Reese, "Uncharted: Fight For Fortune is an action-adventure turn-based card game featuring the heroes and villains from the Uncharted universe... The core gameplay in Uncharted: Fight For Fortune involves creating a team of Faction cards featuring heroes, villains, and mercenaries from the Uncharted universe, then using that team to defeat your opponent while defending yourself from their attacks," he wrote in blog post.
Each of the Faction cards will have its own Resource and Fortune cards. These will improve their statistics and give special abilities. Once a card is selected, the user can battle an opponent. Attacks cause the depletion of health for an opposing Faction card or the health of your opponent. When a user defeats an opposing Faction card, it removes the card from the game. If the opponent has to lose, health must be reduced to zero.
The launch of Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Uncharted: Fight For Fortune are directly tied. "Along with the release of Uncharted: Fight For Fortune. we will also release a new patch for Uncharted: Golden Abyss that will power up the artifacts that you've collected for immediate use within Fight For Fortune. Using the artifacts found within Golden Abyss, you can go to battle with other players as well as AI opponents," Reese explains.
The game can be played without Golden Abyss too.
The game will have Trophy support and single player campaign and asynchronous multiplayer.
There will be between 6-8 hours of playtime in the single player mode. Fine tuning the game took more than a year. This game was made with the approval of Naughty Dog.
The game is set to launch on Dec. 4 and will cost $4.99.
