The "Mafia" series is back as "Mafia III" is scheduled for release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC platform on the 7th of October. News reveal that the long time sequel of "Mafia II" tells the story of the protagonists long journey.
In a recent interview by WCCFTech with Hangar 13's Design Director Matthias Worch, he revealed the true connection of Vito Scaletta and Lincoln Clay. It's a complicated story of mafia's and gunmen, all trying to live under the keen eyes of hired killers.
Lincoln Clay, the man betrayed by the Italian mob is back to seek his revenge. But for Clay to do that, he must first Kill Tony DeRazio, Sal Marcano's main money man. "Mafia III" incorporates the open world, as according to Worch, this is the only way they can really connect "Mafia II" to the current series.
In the open world of "Mafia III" players will be able to witness the whole city's situation. Random backyards, Mafia rackets, and people being extorted can be seen in the open world. The game also features players choosing to for Vito. Vito Scaletta is a returning character from "Mafia II" and now, seeks kingship using the streets of New Bordeaux.
The open world feature of "Mafia III" allows players to do missions while side tripping working for Vito transporting contrabands. According to the Movie News Guide, Worch also confirmed that, "Mafia III" has a DLC right after the game is launched. Details about the said DLC however, is still unavailable.
