Hugh Jackman as well as the other "Wolverine 3" cast members can take a breather for now as it appears that filming of the upcoming movie was already completed. For now, not much is known about the upcoming movie as it seems that Fox is bent on keeping the surprise for fans until "Wolverine 3" release date arrives next year.
But, that is not stopping clues about its details from surfacing once in awhile ahead of the "Wolverine 3" release date. The latest hints were dished out by a member of the "Wolverine 3" cast, Hugh Jackman himself.
Just recently, Hugh Jackman posted on the social media site Twitter a brief video clip showing him shave his beard. He then captioned it with "My wife is going to be very happy. #GoodbyeChops#TheDebs."
Hugh Jackman's sideburns are as recognizable as the character that he has played for 17 years. With the his shaving of his facial hair, he also confirmed that the filming of "Wolverine 3" is done, a fact that was likewise confirmed by Fox according to Collider.
While Fox has remained consistently silent on what the "Wolverine 3" plot could be, Hugh Jackman had previously released hints that the upcoming film could borrow elements from the Old Man Logan storyline. The actor previously released photos showing a visibly aged Jackman which fans interpreted as the look that would be required for the Old Man Logan story.
In addition, it was previously revealed that "Wolverine 3" will carry an "R" rating for violence. This rating would certainly agree with the Old Man Story, which is a violent 8-episode comics written by Mark Millar.
The upcoming "Wolverine 3" would be Hugh Jackman's ninth film playing the adamantium clawed hero. Unfortunately, it would be his last Wolverine film as well because the actor has already confirmed that he will be retiring from the franchise.
With Jackman's retirement, the iconic role is once again left open for another actor to take over in "Wolverine 3" movie. While Fox has not yet announced Jackman's replacement, the guessing game has started as to who will bag the role.
One of the actors being eyed as a suitable lead material in "Wolverine 3" is Johnathon Schaech, according to Cinema Blend. Audiences might recognize him as the DC anti-hero Jonah Hex when he appeared in a Legends of Tomorrow episode.
Schaech expressed interest in auditioning for the part saying that he has always wanted to play Wolverine. But, for now, everything is still in the drawing board as FOX has not even yet started looking for Hugh Jackman's replacement for the "Wolverine 3" movie. Let the guessing games begin.
"Wolverine 3" release date is scheduled on March 3, 2017. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for the latest news and update about the upcoming movie.
