According to Forbes, there is a redditor on The Silph Road subreddit reported finding code that appears to indicate trading, new types of incense and Legendary Pokémon may be coming to Pokémon GO. It seems like Niantic is fulfilling its promise to add the ability to trade Pokemon with friends in the game. The Reddit users found the phrases like "Trade_search" and "Trade_offer" in the game's most recent update. This might indicate that the players might soon be able to trade in "Pokemon GO."
There are rumors that "Pokemon GO" players might also be able to assign your trainer a special "buddy" Pokemon in the game. One the player assigned a Pokemon, the Pokemon would follow the player as they walk around and collect candies for them to evolve. There will also be new kinds of incense that attracts specific Pokemons, not just randomly, according to The Silph Road.
While there are rumors that Legendary Pokémon, like Mew and Mewtwo, have already been discovered, one of the most recent update to the game's code also includes a new placeholder called "activity_catch_legend_pokemon." This could mean that "Pokemon GO" players will be able to catch these rare creatures, although how and where they'll be caught remains a mystery.
