With the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy Note7, expectations for the iPhone 7 have been really high. Throughout the months, numerous rumors and leaks have surfaced regarding Apple's smartphone - and although it may seem like a disappointment to some in comparison to Samsung's latest flagship, many are still looking forward to seeing what the iPhone 7 has to offer.
As Apple's fall event draws near, experts are already expecting many things to come. For one, the iPhone 7 is said to be "the star of the show," per Business Insider. Keeping with Apple's tradition since the launch of the iPhone 4, the iPhone 7 will have two variants: a 4.7-inch model called the iPhone 7, while the iPhone 7 Plus model sports a 5.5-inch size. But that's not the only difference between the two: the iPhone 7 is said to have a larger camera and sensor, while the iPhone 7 would have a dual-camera.

It's already been known that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won't have a headphone jack.. As for headphones, Business Insider notes that these should either have Bluetooth connectivity, if not a jack that connects directly to the Lightning port of the iPhone 7.
There have also been reports regarding the lack of a home button on the iPhone 7. "The new models will have a pressure-sensitive button that employs so-called haptic feedback," reported Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. Onlookers can expect the new home button of the iPhone 7 to be much more similar to the trackpad of the MacBook series.
Apple also introduced a new color -- rose gold -- with the release of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus last year. As the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 arrive, there are rumors that Apple would be releasing a new color variant as well: blue.
Meanwhile, according to notorious (and accurate) leaker Evan Blass, the iPhone 7 release date is on Sept. 16, although other reports claim it'll be on the 23rd. However, the iPhone 7 pre-order date is slated a week earlier, on Sept. 9, to be more specific.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, online pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus begin at 12:01AM PST on Sept. 9, while others following EST will have to place orders at 3:01AM.
