Halo 4 was launched Nov. 6. Developer 343 Industries launched Halo 4 restricting it on the number of experience points (XP) that players can earn while playing multiplayer of Spartan Ops. 343 Industries explained the reason behind this cap on XP.
"The daily XP cap is intended to preserve the integrity of the progression system," community manager Jessica Shea wrote on Halo Waypoint. "In other words, it's in place to provide an early gate from players running amok in their progression. When we launched, we had a bug where double XP tokens were being consumed even when you went over the cap. That has since been fixed. In the coming weeks, we will be monitoring how many players are hitting the cap so we can respond accordingly."
Doritos and Mt. Dew promotions have been offered Double XP and players have been going up quickly. Spartan Ops too is a easy way to earn points quickly, Examiner reported.
Examiner said the daily cap limit "appears to be approximately 75,000 points" and "only the most dedicated of the hardcore players will be hitting the daily XP ceiling."
Halo 4 was released on exlcusively for Xbox 360 on Nov. 6.
