When "Stranger Things" debuted in Netflix back in July, two things were confirmed: people definitely liked the show enough to earn a second season, and creators/showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer aren't done telling the story of this sleepy midwestern town. While Netflix remains coy about whether or not the highly successful show will return for a sophomore season, the Duffer brothers are already hinting at the possibiliies they could explore once they get the go signal to produce more episodes.
The Duffer brothers recently spoke to IGN to talk about the possible resurrection of two characters that have seemingly passed in the pilot season of the show, and if they could possible return to "Stranger Things" season 2. First of all, there's Barb (Shannon Purser), who lost her life in the Upside Down. Matt Duffer said that he could not visualize Barb returning to the show, but he assured fans that the community are definitely mourning her death.
Matt also explained that one of the things they would like to do if they get a chance at "Stranger Things" season 2 is to "explore the repercussions of everything that happened." Meanwhile, the show also saw the "death" of Brenner (Matthew Modine), who was seemingly attacked by a monster, leaving audiences wonder if that was the last they saw of him.
Matt admitted that his "death" would seem "very unsatisfying," which is why if they are to create "Stranger Things" season 2, there would be a great possibility of him returning. It seems that the writers would like to see him suffer before they kill him off, if they decide to do so.
Meanwhile, fans who can't get enough of the Netflix show and are rallying for a "Stranger Things" season 2, check out this video posted by breakout star Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven on the show. Entertainment Weekly reports that she took to Twitter to share a throwback video of herself having her head shaved off for the role.
