'Pokemon GO' Latest News, Release Date & Update: Server-side Changes Affected These Movesets—What You Need to Know

"Pokemon GO" players who are passionate about the game must know that Niantic has recently rolled out some server-side updates. While no official updates have arrived to the popular mobile app yet, they have made some changes to the Game_Master file found in everyone's favorite pastime.

According to Heavy, the news comes from several players who have noticed some changes in the way they play "Pokemon GO." There's no need to panic, though, as we've rounded up the available information about these server-side changes so far.

First of all, Niantic has decided to remove some moves from "Pokemon GO," including Mew's Moonblast, Weezing and Koffing's Acid, and Gyarados' Dragon Breath. Meanwhile, there were also several changes to some moves, including Chansey's Psybeam, which is now called a Hyper Beam, Gengar's Sludge Wave, which is now a Sludge Bomb, Grimer's Acid, which is now Poison Jab, Hitmonlee's Stomp, which is now Brick Break. Moreover, Jigglypuff's Play Rough is now Dazzling Gleam, Muk's Acid is now a Lick, Omastar's Rock Throw has been changed into a Mud Shot, while Seel's Water Gun is now a Lick, and Starmie's Psybeam is now a Psychic. Meanwhile, Mew's Hurricane was also changed to Blizzard.

"Pokemon GO" gamers should also know that Porygon, Starmie, and Staryu's Quick Attacks were changed to Zen Headbutt (for Porygon) and Tackle (for Starmie and Staryu). Diglett, Dugtrio, Golem, Graveler's Mud Shots were also changed to Mud Slap. The changes were implemented last August 19.

It's also good to know that these changes will only take effect on the Pokemon that a player will catch moving forward, and not in the Pokemon that one has already captured. Heavy also reports that the eggs any "Pokemon GO" players have collected before the new server-side change was implemented will not have these new moves, but retained its old moves instead.

"Pokemon GO" trainers who engage in battles a lot may be happy to know that Mud Slap, which has replaced Mud Shots in some instances, work better with some Pokemon because it inflicts more damage despite its slower attack. Mud Shots originally inflicted less damage over a quicker attack.

If you noticed any peculiar changes in "Pokemon GO," feel free to leave a comment and share your experience. Don't forget to check back for more updates.
