Kotaku writer Nathan Grayson recently confirmed that he will not be making be making the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie. He explained how he made a brief post about the planned film and was immediately flooded with emails by fans.
In 2015, it was revealed that Warner Bros. acquired the rights to create a "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie. The film would be inspired by the hit horror game of the same title about a demonic bear and his friends haunting a pizza parlor. Grayson showed how he started to receive emails about the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie, which included topics like casting updates, the official launch date, and the appearing characters, among others.
Kotaku shared how Grayson was asked whether he would cast a number of famous YouTubers in the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie. He reportedly continued to receive emails since April 2015, consisting of both serious and trolling emails, ultimately spurring him to clarify his non-involvement in the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie.
Grayson explained how announcements about the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie basically stem from the source, and that Kotaku and other PR sites merely spread the information. He also stated that they constantly receive messages from gamers who want them to do something about upcoming titles.
Most likely, some of the people who emailed him were hoping that Grayson could deliver the message to the proper parties developing the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie. He ended his post by announcing again that he is not making the horror film.
The "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie may be released in the middle of 2018. Despite rumors of the film getting cancelled, director Gil Kenan reassured fans that they are still working on the script.
Scott Cawthon, creator of "Five Nights At Freddy's" also denied talks that the movie has been shut down. He added that all those involved in the film are seriously working on their roles. The appearing characters and cast members in the "Five Nights At Freddy's" movie have not yet been revealed but more updates and details are expected to follow soon.
