'Overwatch' Patch Updates & Latest News: Blizzard Has The Perfect Comeback For 'GG Ez' Trolls; New Emote Meta Gremlin D.Va Launched

The new "Overwatch" patch featured several new adjustments, including a new emote and a solution for game trolls. "Gremlin D.Va" and other emotes were recently added to the hit shooter game, as well as a way that would avoid condescension among gamers.

Polygon revealed that Blizzard recently accepted Gremlin D.Va in "Overwatch," which was a funny caricature version of the character D.Va, which was borne out of a viral Tumblr meme. Several "Overwatch" characters acquired emotes that featured them sitting down to rest or laughing, while D.Va received the "Game On" emote, which portrayed the character eating Doritos and drinking Mountain Dew. All of the new emotes in "Overwatch" were pegged at 250 credits, but the Gremlin D.Va emote was the most special, currently costing 1,000 and described as legendary.

Gremlin D.Va spawned on Tumblr in the summer of 2016, after various artists provided their own take of the mech pilot and pro gamer as a junk food-loving gamer. She also displays the worst and most stereotypical tendencies of hardcore gamers. The character is both hilarious and annoying at the same time. A new video also surfaced, showing the new "Overwatch" emotes brought by the latest update.

CNet stated that Blizzard found a way to provide losing players with a quick response to trolls who like to type "GG EZ" after matches. The line stands for "Good Game, Easy," which some players tend to type to further look down on the losing team. The "Overwatch" creator apparently does not appreciate such condescension among players, so a new tweak from the new update provided automatic statement adjustments.

Whenever a player types "GG EZ," the line will automatically change into embarrassing statements directed towards themselves instead. The new "Overwatch" patch served as a deterrent for players who are fond of trash talking and ensures a more enjoyable and friendly gaming environment for everyone.

The new "Overwatch" patch also delivered character adjustments to Genji, Mercy and more. Patch notes are already available. Blizzard also announced at Gamescom 2016 that a new Germany-inspired map will be coming to "Overwatch" soon. More updates and details on "Overwatch" are expected soon.
