According to the Google Blog, the application does not require the user to have a separate account in order to use the app. With just few steps to follow, Google Duo will be accessible just using your local phone number. How does it work? Google Duo will automatically change the video calling to a lower resolution whenever it detects a slow network; this way, callers will remain connected. Interestingly, the Google Duo application will be able to switch from WiFi connection to data connection without interrupting the video call.
But that's not the best part yet, Google Duo allows you to use the Knock Knock feature of the app wherein, you can check first the caller's video before answering the call. This way, recipients of the call will be able to see first what's in store for them before actually answering the call.
