"WWE 2K17" has announced that they have decided to knock off 2K Showcase. In their website, the developer claimed that WWE Universe and MyCareer were mostly requested to be upgraded. However, some reports said that fans would still love to see video packages.
Developers said that they would have wanted to showcase Brock Lesnar, the cover superstar for "WWE 2K17," along with other WWE superstars but are not feasible due to some reasons not mentioned. The report added that, while Showcase is a great part of "WWE 2K," it is something that has to be updated on a year to year basis.
2K mentioned that they will focus on upgrading MyCareer and Universe instead. However, there are a number of fans who are not really fond of these two features. MyCareer is a bit dragging for some players as they have to work their way up to climb the ladder. But "WWE 2K17" promises a different drama with the new add-ons. Renee Young will do some backstage interviews that will take the action a notch higher. A confrontation with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman is inevitable, and the result of the confrontation will greatly determine your career in WWE.
The WWE Universe mode, though added with controversies, run-ins and pre and post-match actions, could still be a bit boring for some. Players will be confronting each other repeatedly and does not bring any excitement anymore. But "WWE 2K17" promises a different kind of experience by making the player feel like playing in a WWE television or network program on a weekly episode.
"WWE 2K17" will feature superstars like Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles. Even without the Showcase mode, players can still look forward to the game's improved graphics with better facial scanning capabilities. It set for release on October 11 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
