It's been 25 years since the last "Bill and Ted" movie came out. Since then, whispers of a sequel, "Bill and Ted 3," taking shape in various development have been rumored for the last ten years or so. But without any recent update from the cast and crew, is "Bill and Ted 3" really happening?
Nothing much is said about "Bill and Ted 3" which opened to whispers and speculations that the existence of the film is not yet official. But Ted "Theodore" Logan himself, Keanu Reeves, assured fans that the two-time travelling doofuses from "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" and "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey" will be returning for "Bill and Ted 3"!
Keanu Reeves teased fans about the third installment of the franchise sharing the plot of "Bill and Ted 3" to Entertainment Tonight. "It's funny!" Keanu Reeves said. "It's about the pressure of Bill and Ted having to save the world and it not quite working out."
Keanu Reeves added that drama comes in the form of "the toll (their adventure) is taking on their families" as well as the bromance between Ted and Bill S. Preston Esq."breaking apart." In the words of his famous character, Ted "Theodore" Logan, Keanu Reeves described "Bill and Ted 3" as "Bodacious, excellent, and heartwarming."
To promote his documentary about Frank Zappa, actor and filmmaker Alex Winter, who played Bill S. Preston, Esq. in "Bill and Ted's: Excellent Adventure" and "Bill and Ted's: Bogus Journey," confirmed that "Bill and Ted 3" is definitely happening. Alex Winter shared that a start date for "Bill and Ted 3" could be relatively immanent.

But don't expect to see "Bill and Ted 3" on theaters anytime soon as Alex Winter revealed that they are still in the "early stages of pre-production." The release of "Bill and Ted 3" has yet to be announced.
