The game aficionados are now excited for the imminent release of "Destiny" DLC, "Rise of Iron," next month. After that, fans are getting more thrilled for the coming of "Destiny 2" as Activision revealed that it is now in full development.
Activision In Full Swing For 'Destiny 2' Release
Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg hinted that "Destiny 2" is now in its full pace and will be ready in its release next year at the company's investor earnings call. They also teased that a lunar follow-up is coming to the title. "The majority of the team at Bungie is actually focused entirely on creating 'Destiny 2,' which is still on track for release next year and it's going to be awesome," he hinted, as per Movie News Guide.
To recall, the coming of "Destiny 2" was first publicized on Bungie's website in February. However, it didn't reveal much detail about the game, but only teased that "it will see the light of day." It is quite believed that Bungie is now giving its full attention to the coming "Destiny" expansion pack, called "Rise of Iron."
'Destiny' DLC, 'Rise Of Iron'
At the earnings call, Eric Hirshberg also disclosed that fans' excitement for the upcoming expansion pack for "Destiny," "Rise of Iron," is getting more and more hype. "The continued hunger for great new content from this passionate community bodes well for the September launch of 'Rise of Iron.' Digital pre-purchases so far are very strong and tracking ahead of last year's 'Taken King,'" he said.
In fact, the "Destiny" game itself is having more players each day based on the "month on month growth" of the title, Christian Today reported. This could also be a big help for "Destiny 2" to measure the people who express their interest for the video game. "Destiny 2" is expected to be revealed in 2017, although Bungie and Activision are not yet revealing its exact release. "Rise of Iron," on the other hand, will be out on Sept. 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
