Fans are optimistic that the "Pokemon" game on the new Nintendo NX may be a remake of "Pokemon Red and Blue." Previously, the game was remade on the Game Boy Advance as "Fire Red" and "Leaf Green," showcasing 2D graphics and allowing players to capture newer Pokemon from "Sapphire" and "Ruby." With the rising popularity of "Pokemon Go," it is very likely that game makers will continue releasing more related games.

Including "Pokemon Red and Blue" in its early slate of games could appeal to more gamers, helping it garner a huge piece of the mobile gaming market.
