In the arrival of "Scandal" Season 6, there are casts that will be gone and stars that are bound to return. There are reports that Vanessa Moss's character will be now played by Jessalyn Gilsig as Joelle Carter is now living the American television series.
Jessalyn Gilsig To Replace Joelle Carter
"Scandal" Season 6 recently confirmed the return of Jake Ballard's (Scott Foley) wife in the scene. However, TV Line reported that the role once played by Joelle Carter will be replaced by Jessalyn Gilsig. The 43-year-old star may now have a hard time to portray the role of Vanessa as she is now a regular cast member of NBC's "Chicago Justice."
Hence, people behind "Scandal" Season 6 decided to have Jessalyn Gilsig instead. To recall, the 44-year-old Canadian actress once played the role of Terri, Will Schuester's (Matthew Morrison) wife and settled to file a divorce. Will, on the other hand, found a new love with Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) and chose to get married again later.
'Scandal' Season 6 To 'Return To Form'
Meanwhile, "Scandal" Season 6 will be moved to a mid-season premiere because of Kerry Washington's, who plays as Olivia Pope, pregnancy, as per International Business Times. ABC President Channing Dungey also revealed that the upcoming "Scandal" Season 6 will be "return to form" at the recent Television Critics Association's press tour.
Channing Dungey also addressed the issue about "Scandal" poor ratings and explained that long-running TV series like their political thriller drama can also experience "little bit of ebb and flow." But, he boasted that "Scandal" Season 6's script is very eccentric that promises a good show.
The executive producer Shonda Rhimes, on the other hand, added that she already has something in mind about "Scandal" finale. In her interview with Lara Spencer, she also talked about Olivia's fate but refused to unveil who she will end up with. "Scandal" Season 6 is set to return on ABC in 2017.
